Paper and pencil FTW! It's "The Notebook That Runs My Life" and it lives on my breakfast bar. I also have a notebook where I take notes from business stuff that I read. I do also send things to Evernote but it's been like 6 months and that thing is a black hole - stuff goes in but if you don't visit, you never get to see it again. :D

I'm a moleskine user but more for notes and brainstorming. Tasks and lists need to be durable for me as I often leave things for weeks/months at a time. The someday/maybe list that GTD prescribes.

I'm all about Things on iPhone and Mac. Very easy to use, seamless, and GTD friendly.

Your notebook sure looks a lot more festive than my black moleskine! :-)

I like being able to easily carry my moleskine wherever I go, but I used to drool over the Levenger catalogs when they came!

Is it a remnant from childhood? I used to keep very organized journals when I was 13, 14 years old :).

I think the Moleskine and Rhodia notebooks are good for "on the fly" type of note taking, but I could never use anything other than my Levenger Circa notebook and planner when I am at work. Just keeping track of projects, phone calls, and meetings with them has made me a ton more productive.

I'm with you, Annie! I still make my lists every day in a daily planner and am a "list maker" through and through. I also like pencils (super sharp) but will use pen as well. Regardless of what I use to make the list, I always check off in another color. Oh.. the silly things we do!

I'm with you re. pen and paper. Just started filling in my Moleskine diary for 2009. Downgraded from the 18th month version as that fell apart on me about 15 months in :/

I do use Evernote a lot now too. It's the perfect partner for us old fashioned pen and paper types. Happy scribbling in 2009!
